Dr. Hayri Deniz, secretary general of the Mugla Fish Farmers Association, discusses the significant growth of aquaculture in Turkey. Turkey has more than 2,000 fish farms, with inland fish farms being the majority. His presentation highlights the importance of site selection and fish farm size in development and management. He also mentioned that the government provides technical, financial, and social support for the sector, which has grown rapidly in the past decade.
