Hatchery 101 webinars continue for 2024

As climate change continues to intensify, concrete solutions for the industry to adapt become more urgent. Hatchery 101 on sustainability continues with 2024 dates to tackle important issues faced in the fisheries and aquaculture industries around the world.

New dates for the four-part series are as follows:

  • Genetics & broodstock – Feb. 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. EST
  • Digitization – May 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. EST
  • Pathogen management – Aug. 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. EST
  • Audience’s choice – Nov. 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. EST

The fourth topic will be chosen by the live audience at the Nov. 15 webinar on Waste Management.

The Hatchery 101 webinar series gathers together experts and professionals to share knowledge about the most pressing topics in the hatchery industry. The webinars are free to register and sponsored by OxyGuard International.

Hatchery 101 is hosted by Ben Normand, a fish farmer, writer, college instructor, and cheerleader for aquaculture.  He has worked with a variety of fin and shellfish species in both New Zealand and Canada in production management, compliance, and communications. In his spare time, you can find him spending time with his family, sailing, biking, and tinkering in his workshop.
