Ron Hill is a 15-year aquaculture professional with a wide array of experience and skills. Ron has a strong background in hatchery operations, aquaculture education and aquaculture content. Ron is the founder and CEO of Velocity Aqua – Aquaculture Entrepreneur Support Service.


Panelists:

Nicole Bell is team lead at AquaBounty Canada’s Rollo Bay Hatchery in Prince Edward Island. In addition to running the hatchery on a day-to-day basis, she also conducts in-house research trials on fish nutrition and health. She has extensive experience in the care of broodstock and spawning procedures and takes great pride in the care of AquaBounty’s fish. She was recently named one of Hatchery International‘s Top 10 Under 40 this year.

 

 

Orishaba Benjamin is hatchery manager at MIG Fish Farm in Uganda where they culture Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). He has more than 10 years of experience working in various hatcheries in Uganda and has build his own consultation firm called Kachotera Aquatics International. He was recently named one of Hatchery International‘s Top 10 Under 40 this year.

 

 

 

Dr. Sagiv Kolkovski is an aquaculture consultant with over 30 years experience. In the past three decades, he developed the hatchery technology for many marine organisms and was involved in many commercial and R&D projects around the world. He is also co-founder of Nutrakol Pty Ltd., which specializes in nutritional and health solutions for the aquaculture industry. Based on his deep understanding of larvaes’ feeding needs, Dr. Kolkovski developed a unique feeding system for aquatic hatcheries that gives complete feeding solutions for any feed, microdiets and weaning diets, as well as, micro algae and live feeds.
