Organic certification for Belgium feed producer
Earlier this year BernAqua announced that it had received organic certification for some of its hatchery feed products. Based in Belgium, BernAqua specialises in advanced nutrition and environmental solutions for hatcheries.

Earlier this year BernAqua announcedOne of its products is Royal Caviar Nature, a micro encapsulated feed that comes in five sizes to meet larvae requirements from Zoea through PL15.
To become certified, the company came up with a formula that complied with the EU Organic Regulation, searched for all raw materials, checked their organic status, created new procedures, trained staff and made adjustments in the factory.
“The organic industry is growing, and we want to support this market,” said Daniel Arana, Product Manager at Bern Aqua. “We want to emphasize that we are working on a sustainable future for aquaculture. We are now offering hatcheries the right products that fully comply with organic regulations, and this will have a big impact on hatcheries as well.”
