Rolf Nordmo, 56, has been appointed CEO of the Norwegian-based salmon breeding company AquaGen. He started in his new position with AquaGen at the beginning of January.

Nordmo trained as a veterinarian with the Norwegian College of Veterinary Medicine and started his professional career as a veterinary inspector in the Ministry of Agriculture.  Later he led the establishment and subsequent operation of the research station VESO Vikan, Namsos for 12 years.

In subsequent years he worked as managing director at Biotech AH & N, Immunocorp and Biorigin Scandinavia spearheading the development and sale of immunostimulatory feed ingredients for fish and other animals.  For the last four years he also ran the Brazilian-owned company Biorigin Europe in Antwerp, Belgium.  Biorigin produces yeast-based feed ingredients for animals.

Most recently, Nordmo headed ACD Pharmaceuticals in Oslo. ACD is part of the Nordly group that does research and development towards the protection of fish from diseases.

Espen Müller, 52, who led AquaGen since 2013, has left to seek new challenges.  He was in various executive positions with the company over a period of 10 years and contributed to developing the company into a global leader in salmon breeding.
