AUTOMATED MICRODIET FEEDING SYSTEM
For all aquatic larvae
For years aquatic larvae have been fed by hand, often several times a day, but this is labour intensive and can easily result in uneven distribution and over-feeding. Accumulation of feed particles can foul the tank and promote bacterial growth, reducing dissolved oxygen levels and increasing the risk of larval infection.
Now there’s a simple solution:
Introducing the AUTOMATED MICRODIET DISPENSER (AMD):
The first purpose-designed microdiet feeding system for any aquatic larvae
Fitted with a computerized controller, the AMD is a simple, labour-saving system for spreading the required daily dosage of feed in tiny, equal amounts upwards of 250 mgs at a time.
No more hand feeding
No more clumps that sink and pollute the water
No more waste of expensive microdiet
Features include:
• Large hopper containing up to 180 gr with splash-proof lid.
Delivery of small, accurate quantities of microdiet (0.1 ± 0.01 g per shot).
Fully programmable touch screen.
Capable of feeding 100 μm to 2.0 mm food particle size.
Controller for 10, 24 or more feeders.
Individual control for each feeder
The Automated Microdiet Feeding System is designed and manufactured by the Department of Fisheries, Western Australia.
